Founding partner Stewart E. Wurtzel has a strong concentration in all aspects of cooperative and condominium representation and real estate litigation. He and the firm serve as general counsel to over 150 cooperatives and condominiums throughout the metropolitan area. They are also experienced in preparing offering plans and amendments to those plans, and have represented numerous shareholders and unit owners in disputes with their boards. The litigation department handles all forms of real estate disputes including landlord tenant, foreclosure, RPAPL 881 access actions, partition actions and anything else involving commercial or real estate related issues.
Mr. Wurtzel is admitted to the Bar in New York, the US Supreme Court, US Court of Appeals Second Circuit, US District Court in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust Committee as well as the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Committee,
