A frequent lecturer on estate planning and elder law, Mr. Portnoy has extensive experience in wills, trusts & estates, estate planning and asset protection, estate administration, guardianships, and elder law (including Medicaid, Disability planning and Guardianships). He is a member of the Elder Law and Trusts & Estates sections of the New York State Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, American Bar Association’s Estate Planners and Administrators Section, and New York City Bar Association. He is a former member of New York City Bar Association’s Trusts, Estates and Surrogate’s Court Committee, and former Secretary of the NYCBA’s Committee on Legal Problems of the Aging (Elder Law). Mr. Portnoy is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He serves on the Board of Russian Speaking Business Attorneys of New York (RUSBAN), as well as several businesses and non-profit organizations.
